It's an exciting day in Michigan for restauranteurs as they reopen their dining rooms for foodies eager to eat out while supporting their favorite restaurants. 

As Greater Grand Rapids restaurants are allowed to reopen today with enhanced sanitary and safety measures, some of the changes you will see are rooms at 50% capacity, single-use menus, plexiglass dividers, social distancing, and PPE on staff members.

We have assembled a list of the restaurants that have announced their re-opening dates. 

We are embarking on a whole new dining-out experience, and things are going to be different for a while. If you choose to eat out, please ... 

• Be patient and understanding. Most staff hasn't worked in weeks. Wearing masks, remembering the safety protocols, and working during the coronavirus pandemic can be stressful. 
  
  
• Please be aware of social distancing for yourself and keep your children at your table.
  
  
• Try to ask for everything you need from your server at once to help them maximize their time so they can serve everyone in a timely fashion.
  
  
• Do not go to a restaurant if you're sick.
  
  
• The restaurants are in business to serve you and help you enjoy your meal with friends and family. They are operating at 50% capacity after being closed for several weeks. For the sake of your favorite restaurant's future, time more than you normally would and spend as little as time as possible at the table if you are done eating and drinking.
